Pandora Saga: Weapons of Balance is a MMORPG that puts you in the role of one of the many heroes who populate a fantasy world divided into three nations with irreconcilable differences: the Kingdom of St. Pfelstein, The Latugan Empire, and the Varik Confederation. Your object is to try to uncover what happened and why the old Great Empire, ruled over by the King who possessed Pandora, was reduced to ashes.
As usual, you'll have to create your hero from scratch. First you need to choose a race: human, elf, dwarf, enkidu (a type of ogre), lapin (a species of imp) or myrine (similar to dark elves). Next, you'll choose which nation you belong to. Lastly, you'll choose a class, between warrior, scout, acolyte, and mage. Each class includes many other sub-classes.
Once you have your character created and ready, the adventure begins. You can participate in a ton of different quests, fight against hundreds of enemies (including against other, human players), and carry out many other actions that will help you collect items and experience, all necessary if you want to improve and level-up your character.
When it's time to battle, one of the most important elements in a game like this, you can choose if you want to get close for hand-to-hand combat, or launch projectiles from a safe position. You can wield all types of offensive or defensive magic, and even fight from a mount.
Graphically speaking, Pandora Saga: Weapons of Balance is a little disappointing. Neither the character models nor the game scenery, or really the artistic design in general, are at the height of the greats of the genre. Still, it delivers its purpose and lower quality enables the game to run correctly on most any machine.
Pandora Saga: Weapons of Balance is an interesting MMORPG with a well thought out story and atmosphere and gameplay fun enough to spend hours and hours playing with users from around the world.
